Losing Leg Does Not Stop Farmer

Bill is a former veterinarian and horse trainer who wanted to be an active farmer. When he met with Ned Stoller, Michigan AgrAbility’s assistive technology professional, Bill was raising 24 adult sheep and 36 lambs. Limited by the loss of his right leg, it was important to him to reduce or eliminate his dependence on others.

To help Bill use self-propelled vehicles, including his truck, Ned suggested an outdoor power wheelchair and a left foot accelorator or hand controls.
